Rosemary & Pear Autumn Cocktail

October 3, 2012

The seasons are changing and so your drinks should be too! I think this drink celebrates early fall perfectly, refreshing and cool yet with those comforting flavours that bring in the cold weather.

Mixing is simple but choosing the ingredients is not! If you can find it and feel like splurging then use Hangar One Spiced Pear Vodka, however any other  pear vodka will do. For the ginger liquor I used Giffard’s and the soda is Growers pear soda… you know it was strangely difficult to find pear soda but I found it Urban Fare.

Instructions:
1. Rim a highball glass with the gingerbread spice
2. In a shaker mix vodka, ginger liqueur, lemon juice, fresh ginger, and rosemary with ice. Shake vigorously.
3. Fill the glass with ice, strain shaker into the glass, top with bitters and pear soda.
4. Garnish with a pear slice and a sprig of rosemary.
Now its time to sit back and enjoy!
